- Rails-To-Trails Conservancy, the national
Rails-to-trails organization. The conservancy works at the national and state level
to raise awareness and to create a favorable legislative climate for trails. However,
it is not the RTC's mission to fund local trail-building organizations. Groups such
as the Montour Trail Council do not receive direct financial support from the RTC
and must raise their own funds for trail construction and maintenance.
- West Virginia Rails to Trails Council, a
state-wide organization.
- American Trails, a national
organization interested in all trails.
- The Bicycle Access
Council is a non-profit advocacy organization that serves as a forum for
Pennsylvania bicyclists and as an ombudsman for bicycling issues. Their site
also contains links to maps that show the Bicycle-PA routes.
- Bike Pittsburgh, a Pittsburgh-based
cycling safety, advocacy, and awareness organization.
- Wildflowers of
Western Pennsylvania Trails
- Montour Railroad - dedicated to
preserving the memory of the Montour Railroad
- Independence Marsh Foundation - a nonprofit

- Eds Montour Trail GPS & Coffee Bicycle Ride - Ed rides the

The Association is committed to linking the Beaver River Trail
to established and proposed trails in adjacent western Pennsylvania counties and into Ohio.
To the north, BRRTA plans to connect to the existing Stavich and North Country Trails
in Lawrence County and to the south, the Montour Trail in Allegheny County. Our ultimate goal
is to link the Beaver River Trail with Erie and the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Trail
to Washington D.C."
