The 12th Annual Tour the Montour continues the tradition as one of Western Pennsylvania's finest Fall rides. For men, women, and children, it includes rides of 6, 15, 24, 44, and 62 miles on the beautiful Montour Trail. The ride has become well known for its sumptuous lunch as well as its unique t-shirts. (T-shirts are only guaranteed for riders who pre-register by Sept. 5th

 

This year's event also includes the demanding King of the Mountain Challenge. All riders have the option to be timed individually up a 7/10ths of a mile hill (Hassam Rd - closed to traffic, not part of the main Trail Ride). At an average of an 8% grade, the man and woman with the fastest times will truly be the "King" and "Queen" of the Mountain and will receive a special bicycling jersey for their effort.

Awards/Prizes

 

 

Registration/Packet Pickup

Pre-ride packet-pickup will be help at the Settlers Ridge REI Store on Thursday, September 18th, 2014 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Ride-day registration and packet pickup opens at 7:00 AM.

Other Information:
  • HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL RIDERS
  • Riders registered before September 5th are guaranteed a T-shirt. After September 5th, T-shirts will not be guaranteed, so be sure to Register Early!
  • SAG Support will be available for mechanical or physical problems. Trail marshals will also be patrolling the course for safety.
  • Bike services will be provided at the start. This service is for emergency repairs only. Both you and your bike should be in good shape.
  • Turnaround points will be marked along the course with light refreshments.
  • The trail will remain open to the public for the ride. Proper trail etiquette is appreciated from all participants.

Post Ride Amenities:

Lunch and refreshments will be available at Brothers Grimm at Mile 3 of the Trail (Old Beaver Grade Road).  Then it's a leisurely 3 miles downhill back to Mile 0.
